The Brief
A new menu needed attention, but the tone mattered as much as the food. The cafe had to look intentional and worth visiting while still feeling familiar to a student audience. Content that leaned too polished could make an everyday campus stop feel distant; content that stayed too casual could miss the craft behind the new menu. The brief was to find the space between those extremes. Every shot needed to make the food tangible, keep the location approachable, and communicate the update quickly enough for a social feed where the viewer might only give the first few seconds a chance.
Our Approach
We built the launch video around close-up sequences, craft-in-motion shots, and clean food pacing. Showing preparation in motion gave the menu a sense of care without needing a long explanation, while tighter product frames made the textures and details easier to read on a phone. The edit stayed direct so the video could introduce the menu without losing the everyday rhythm of campus life. Copy followed the same rule: warm, concise, and focused on good food made well. Instead of pushing a formal campaign voice onto the cafe, the execution treated the audience as people who were already nearby and only needed a clear, appetising reason to make Coffeeman@NYP their next stop. That balance kept the creative grounded in its real campus context. The same constraint guided every choice in the edit and copy. The result felt specific to the cafe rather than like a generic food launch placed on campus.
The Result
The content reached 1K+ views per video, 92% new audiences, and hundreds of interactions. The high share of new audiences is especially relevant to a launch: the work moved beyond people who were already familiar with the account and introduced the menu to more potential visitors. The interactions also show that viewers did more than passively receive the update. Within the social channels, the pattern is clear: the launch expanded awareness and turned a menu update into a reason to pay attention.
